What Are Color Lab Colors?
What Are Color Lab Colors?
COLOR LAB™: Mad Micas colorists create hundreds of colors that don't go into regular production; here's your chance to take a peek into the lab.
Each month we'll be rolling out a new color complete with notes from that colorist's lab book and making it available for one month only.
Note: Some Color Lab colors may eventually be made part of our permanent collection.
The Color Lab selection for October 2024 is:
Book 03, Entry 32.
Limited Edition, available through October 31, 2024.
(Daydream™)
I was looking for periwinkle and got this: close, but much better. This is a deep periwinkle daydream. There’s something magical and otherworldly about it - I love just looking into the jar.
Not quite blue or purple, but also not a typical periwinkle. I find it mesmerizing and calming; the formula is complex, but the light pink sparkles add a dreaminess that pulls it all together.
This blue is my new favorite (maybe because it's one of mine? lol) and I'm really excited that it's been selected to be a Color Lab entry.
CP Soap: Tested using 3 grams/pound of cold process soap batter.
Consistent in both epoxy resin and clear MP soap (usage in MP was ½ teaspoon per lb. of clear base), and both show off the subtle sparkles quite nicely. Highly predictable.

This color is so pretty. I really wish I bought a larger amount.
I wish this color was a regular, its SOOOO pretty. I also wish Marigolds was a regular hahaha
Why do all the good colors have to be limited edition?? This is unlike any other blue you offer and looks amazing in my products!
This was the perfect color for my take on the Amazon while my daughter was on it! I had to make a whole loaf with a current of Lush Green running down the middle. I work with melt and pour and love that the colors will be just what I want them to be.
So glad I didn't miss out on this one. Such a beautiful color. But let's be real; does Mad Mica make a bad color?
